What’s your favorite part of being in Alpha?

That environment of being able to discover new things that you love and things that maybe you don’t like so much and being surrounded by some of the greatest people while doing so. Alpha is one of my favorite environments to learn who I want to be as a PR professional.

How would you describe Alpha in one word?

Special

How do you hope to see Alpha changing in the next year? How will you bring about these changes?

There’s a lot of things I’m going to be changing about Alpha next year! My big focus is getting people together more often and having more mentorship and guidance for everyone in the organization. I’m going to bring these changes while being super open and transparent, and also always guiding with kindness and love and passion – that is something that’s important to me. And I’ll always be open to feedback and to learning and hearing what everyone in the organization has to say, whether or not they are in management.

Life-changing

How do you hope to see Alpha changing in the next year? How will you bring about these changes?

What’s your favorite part of being in Alpha?

The people. Everyone in Alpha is so creative, smart and talented. It’s uplifting to be surrounded by people who have those qualities and who are so passionate about everything they do. I have also become really close with my team from this year, which is truly my biggest takeaway from Alpha. I love them so much, and I’m so lucky to call them my friends!

How would you describe Alpha in one word?

Inspiring. Everyone has such a unique skill set that contributes to the success of the organization. We push each other to be better too, because we are constantly learning from one another. I am inspired by seeing the great work everyone is doing, and it makes me so excited for what is to come next year.

How do you hope to see Alpha changing in the next year? How will you bring about these changes?

I definitely want to increase the level of connectivity. I want everyone to know one another and be aware of what everyone is working on. This is one of Ceci’s goals as MD as well, and I think hosting weekly GBMs will be the perfect way to do this.

Another thing I want to incorporate into Alpha is more professional development opportunities. Whether it’s going over graphic design in Canva, learning how to use Qualtrics or even conducting resume reviews, I want to provide more learning opportunities for our members. We can all learn from each other, and we also have amazing faculty that want to help us learn outside of the classroom, so one of my goals is to take advantage of these resources. Hosting professional development sessions during GBMs would be one way to accomplish this, and that’s something I want to implement.

Favorite Alpha memory?

This is a tough one, because I really loved every moment I spent working with my team. One that stands out though is a powerpoint night social we had together. We all chose different topics, and presented powerpoints to each other. My topic was which Taylor Swift era each of my team was. I laughed so hard that night that I remember my face ACHING because I was smiling so much. It was so much fun.
