Our History

Alpha PRoductions began with a group of students in a public relations campaigns class in 1981. With the guidance of Lauri-Ellen Smith, APR, the students were able to turn their class project into real, hands-on experience. In 2006, the firm was one of the first five student-run firms to be nationally affiliated through the Public Relations Student Society of America standards.

Since then, we’ve continued to work with a variety of clients and today Alpha PRoductions stands as the largest student-run public relations firm in Florida. As a division of the University of Florida’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter, Alpha PRoductions has 20-30 associates and executives who work on projects for clientele on a semesterly and yearly basis.

Alpha PRoductions prides itself on working with a diverse clientele, including those from the nonprofit, entertainment, educational and local business sectors. Each of these opportunities allows Alpha PRoductions associates and executives to foster creativity and innovation, while developing sensational campaign materials for our clients.
